Maberry Berry Heritage
Our farm began 4 generations ago. In 1944, Leonard E. Maberry and his wife Blanche moved from a small town in Missouri to join their son, Winfred (W.E.) and his wife Kathleen on a small farm just south of the Canadian border near the town of Lynden, Washington. In 1946, the year of Curt’s birth, they celebrated their first harvest of 21 acres of strawberries.
Leonard retired in 1959 but W.E. and Kathleen continued to expand the farm with the addition of raspberries. Curt and wife Annette eventually purchased the farm in 1973. Over the years Curt expanded the farm to nearly 1000 acres of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries along with onsite production facilities.
With Curt’s passing on April 23, 2007, the farm is now owned and operated by the 4th generation of Maberry’s - Matt, Angie and Mandi who proudly carry on the family’s tradition of raising, harvesting and processing the highest quality berries along with their families and dedicated employees.
